Maxillary sinus lift

What are sinuses?

The paranasal sinuses are a set of hollow cavities that communicate with the nasal cavities and influence daily activities such as breathing and phonation.

They are located in our upper jaw and sometimes they are so voluminous that they limit the bone height in order to rehabilitate these areas with implants.

Open sinus lift

We use it when we have less than 4 mm in height to place implants in the area. It consists of an initial surgery in which we fill the air space of the breast with a large amount of artificial bone. We will wait 8 months until we can perform a second surgery to place the implants.

Atraumatic sinus lift

We use it when we have more than 5 mm of bone height to place implants. In this case we perform bone augmentation in order to place implants. Everything is done through the opening that we generate for the implant placement.

In this case we will only perform one intervention and the time would be shortened to 4-5 months until we have our teeth.
