Skeletal with attachments

What is an ataches skeleton?

To replace missing teeth in the mouth without having to perform surgery and by means of a removable appliance, there are several possibilities. The skeletal on crowns with attachments is the most reliable, esthetic and precise prosthesis in the range of removable appliances.

We perform it to avoid the use of retainers or clasps in removable appliances that worsen the aesthetics of the teeth when smiling and deteriorate the tooth by the continuous friction against them.

How does the system work?

The skeletal is the part that is removed and put in the mouth. It consists of a metallic structure that resembles a skeleton that serves as a base for the attachment of the pink resin and the artificial teeth to be replaced. Thanks to the metal structure, these prostheses, in addition to resting on the gum, also rest on the natural teeth that are present in the mouth, thus better distributing the forces and giving greater stability to the appliance.

Crowns with attachments are the caps that will be permanently cemented on one of the natural teeth present in the mouth and on which the removable appliance will be inserted, leaving the anchorage of the two parts completely invisible when it is placed in the mouth. The insertion of the device on the fixed sheath is performed on a precision male/female system that resembles the hook-and-eye fastener system present in clothing.
