Teeth Whitening

What is Teeth Whitening?

It is a treatment through which we try to lighten or rejuvenate stained teeth due to aging and the consumption of substances that cause stains, such as coffee, tea, cola drinks, tobacco, red wine, etc.

During tooth formation, consumption of tetracycline, certain antibiotics or excess fluoride can also cause tooth discoloration.

Are there different types of Teeth Whitening?

The bleaching agents are fundamentally similar in all bleaching systems: hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. The key is the concentration at which it is applied and the way these products are activated.

Our Teeth Whitening

  1. First of all, we perform a color analysis of the tooth using a spectrophotometer, which is a device that reflects several parameters of the tooth color, such as brightness, amount of gray, yellow… With these values we can already know in a predictable way if the teeth are going to whiten or not and to what extent.
  2. We perform a cleaning and take some molds of the mouth to make some splints to place the whitening at home.
  3. Zoom whitening is performed in the clinic with an exhaustive isolation of the soft tissues to avoid any possible injury caused by the product.
  4. Process of remineralization of the teeth through the delivery of a product that is placed in the whitening splints.
  5. At-home bleaching with carbamide gel applied to the splints for 4 hours daily.

Is bleaching safe?

Philips Zoom LED blue light acceleration technology and gel whiten quickly, while amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) helps protect enamel, improve brightness and reduce sensitivity.
