They are made by milling a single block of porcelain to increase the strength factor of the material. This material is very suitable for high esthetic treatments in the anterior teeth area, but it does not allow us to make bridges or long sections.<\/li><li><strong>Metal-porcelain or metal-ceramic crowns<\/strong> are used in posterior sectors due to the resistance they offer. They consist of a metal cap covered with porcelain to give the appearance of natural teeth. Their use is not indicated for teeth that are visible in the smile, since they are made of metal, the esthetic finish may not be the desired two sessions. In the first session, the dentist removes, through careful grinding, part of the natural tooth structure to make room for the dental crown. An impression is taken and sent to the laboratory, where the dental crown is created in approximately two weeks.
